PHONAK USERS:
- If you are using the latest Phonak Audeo M (powered by Marvel) SDS 4.0 receiver wires you need to use Cerushield wax guards instead (sold separately)
- Cerustop and Cerushield are incompatible with each other
- If you are unsure, please contact us and we will help you with your choice
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ORDER THE CORRECT TYPE OF FILTERS THAT YOU NEED FOR YOUR HEARING AIDS
Why do you need to use a wax guard or wax filter?
- Ear wax is one of the main causes of hearing aid breakdown
- During daily use, ear wax can work its way into the sound outlet of your hearing aid and partially or completely block the end of the receiver (speaker) and stop any sound coming out of your hearing aid
- Receiver in the Canal (RIC) and Completely in the Canal (CIC) hearing aids are especially vulnerable to wax problems due to their placement deep in your ear canal
- By using a wax guard, you can protect your RIC, CIC or In the Ear (ITE) instruments from earwax. This will minimise any earwax related blockages and problems
- The use of Cerustop wax guard does not eliminate the need for daily cleaning procedures
- Since the amount of earwax produced can vary dramatically. It is time to change the wax guard If the hearing aid is weak, silent or if wax is visible in the wax guard
